We went to see a friend at a May Fair this bank holiday. A tiny village just outside Winchester called Hurstbourne Priors. Cute does not even begin to describe this tiny village.
It’s a church fete and It’s really traditional with pole dancing and my friend LBee is helping her friend sell jams and chutney. I will take both the kids as I think Kayton’s hands have become fused together with his x-box controllers!
When we arrived we were all in awe. Talk about chocolate box village! My pictures just do not do it justice (and seem to be a bit wonky sorry).
So we met with LBee and her friend Josephine and Evie got stuck right in helping to sell the jams and chutney. There was lamb feeding as they had all just been born, pony rides, laser clay pigeon shooting, plant stalls, bric-à-brac (I bought a bargain fireside accessory) and more it was glorious!
The other point is next door Josephine owns a paddock and offered it for hire. Such a shame we have decided to go with St Paul’s for the service and a London reception. Obviously it wasn’t meant to be.
Maybe I could get Hurstbourne jams as favors? I bought marmalade and it was amazing!
